Everyday Moments

In this first mixed media project, students illustrated a banal, regular, or everyday moment in their day. We focused on using the entire compositional space in an interesting and / or dynamic way.

Realistic Self Portraits

In this project students were challenged to work from an existing photograph to draw themselves exactly as they look in real life. The focus for this project was on observational drawing; rendering tonal values (all the way from black to white) and "accurate" ratios and proportions.
